Several Provisions of Beijing Municipality on the Implementation of the Provisions on the Labor Protection of Female Employees

Article 1 These Provisions are formulated in order to implement the Provisions on the Labor Protection of Female Employees (hereinafter referred to as "the Regulations") issued by the State Council, based on the interpretation by the Ministry of Labor and in light of the practical situation of Beijing Municipality.
　
Article 2 The Regulations and these Provisions shall apply to the female staff and workers of all state agencies, mass organizations, enterprises and public institutions (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Units") as well as female workers employed by individual businesses (hereinafter collectively referred to as "female staff and workers") within the administrative area of Beijing Municipality.
　
Article 3 The Municipal Bureau of Labor is the competent authority in charge of the labor protection of female staff and workers of Beijing Municipality; the bureaus of labor at district and county level are competent authorities in charge of the labor protection of female staff and workers in districts or counties respectively.
Sub-district offices and the people's governments at county and township level are in charge of the labor protection of female staff and workers in sub-districts, counties and townships respectively.
Health departments at all levels, labor unions and women's federations are entitled to supervise the implementation details of the Regulations and these Provisions.
　
Article 4 The Units shall, in accordance with the Regulations and these Provisions, establish and improve the labor protection system of female staff and workers, set up health care centers, nurseries and other facilities for female staff and workers in a gradual way.
　
Article 5 The Units shall reduce the production quota for female staff and workers in pregnancy in accordance with the actual conditions of them.
