(Adopted at the 17th Session of the Standing Committee of the Fifth National People's Congress on March 6, 1981 and promulgated by Guo Wu Yuan Guo Fa [1981] No. 36 on March 14, 1981)
Article 1 The Provisions of the State Council on Employees' Family Leave ( the "Provisions") are formulated in order to properly resolve problems concerning family visit entitled to employees who continue to reside in a place which is far away from their family .
Article 2 Full-time employees working one year for state authorities, people's organizations, solely state-owned enterprises and institutions financed by governments, who do not live together with their spouses and are unable to reunite in public holidays, are eligible to family leave for their spouses as specified herein; as for who do not live together with their either parent and are unable to reunite in public holidays, they are eligible to family leave for their parents as specified herein.
