Adopted upon deliberation at the executive meeting of the China Food and Drug Administration on November 7, 2017, the Decision of the China Food and Drug Administration on Revising Some Rules is hereby promulgated and implemented with immediate effect.

Decision of the China Food and Drug Administration on Revising Some Rules
With a view to effectively implementing the requirement for deepening the reform of streamlining administration, delegating power, strengthening regulation and improving services, the China Food and Drug Administration has cleared up the relevant regulations in connection with the reform of the administrative approval system, of the commercial system and others, and decided to make revision to some articles and paragraphs of the following regulations.
I. The Administrative Measures for Drug Operation Licenses (promulgated by the Order of the State Food and Drug Administration [2004] No.6 on February 4, 2004)
1. The term "(2) the approval documents and certification issued by the administrative department for industry and commerce for the enterprise to be established;" in Sub-paragraph 4 of Article 8 thereof shall be revised to read: "(2) corporate business license".
2. The term "(2) the approval documents and certification issued by the administrative department for industry and commerce for the enterprise to be established;" in Sub-paragraph 4 of Article 9 thereof shall be revised as the "(2) corporate business license".
3. A new Article 34 is added to read: "The electronic drug operation licenses prepared by the food and drug administration departments have equal legal effect with the printed ones".
II. The Measures for the Administration of Drug Information Services via the Internet (promulgated by the Order of the State Food and Drug Administration No.9 on July 8, 2004)
The term "a photocopy of the corporate business license (and a new company shall also provide the notification for prior approval for a name issued by the competent administrative department for industry and commerce as well as the relevant materials)" in Sub-paragraph 1 of Article 13 thereof is revised to read: "the photocopy of the corporate business license".
