Provisions on the Administration of Online Live-streaming Services

Article 1 In order to strengthen the management of online live-streaming services, protect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, legal persons and other organizations, safeguard national security and public interests, these Provisions are hereby stipulated according to the Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Strengthening Network Information Protection, Circular of the State Council on Authorizing the National Internet Information Office to Manage Internet Information Content, Measures for the Administration of Internet Information Services, and Regulations for the Administration of Internet News Information Services.
Article 2 The provision and use of online live-streaming services in the territory of the People's Republic of China shall comply with these Provisions. The term "online live-streaming services" as used in these Provisions refers to Internet-based continuous release of real-time activities to the public in various forms, such as video, audio, graphics and text; the term "online live-streaming service providers" as used in these Provisions refers to the entities providing the platform for online live-streaming services; the term "online live-streaming service users" as used in these Provisions refers to the publishers and users of online live-streaming services.
Article 3 The provision of online live-streaming services shall comply with laws and regulations, adhere to the correct orientation, vigorously advocate the socialist core values, cultivate a positive and healthy online culture, preserve a positive online ecology, safeguard the national and public interests, and create a sound online environment, especially for the growth of young people.
Article 4 The National Internet Information Office is responsible for the law enforcement work related to the supervision and administration of information content of national online live-streaming services.
