Circular on Matters concerning the Regulation of the Appraisal and Increment of the Investment Real Estates of Insurance Companies

All insurance companies,

In order to strengthen the solvency supervision and control the real estate investment risks, the China Insurance Regulatory Commission has decided to regulate the appraisal and increment of the investment real estates of insurance companies. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

Article 1 Regulation Scope
1. The investment real estates directly held by the insurance companies as the owners and measured at fair value; and
2. The investment real estates indirectly held by the insurance companies through the establishment of the project companies or buying of the stakes in them and measured at fair value.

Article 2 Working Requirements
The insurance companies who hold the abovementioned investment real estates shall submit the following materials to the China Insurance Regulatory Commission before June 5:
