The Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on Revising the Law of the People's Republic of China on Resident Identity Cards which was adopted at the 23ird Session of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China on October 29, 2011, is hereby promulgated and shall become effective as of January 1, 2012.
