Law of the People's Republic of China on the Protection of the Investments of Taiwan Compatriots

Article 1 This law has been enacted to protect and encourage Taiwan compatriots to invest in China and to promote economic development on both Mainland China and Taiwan.

Article 2 This law applies to investments made by Taiwan compatriots. For matters involving the investments of Taiwan compatriots that have not been set out in this law, but are set out in other related State laws or administrative regulations, the provisions of the latter shall apply.
Investment of Taiwan compatriots as mentioned as herein refers to any investment made by any company, enterprise, other economic organization or individual as an investor in any other province, autonomous region and municipality under the Central Government.

Article 3 The State shall protect, by law, investments made by Taiwan investors, returns on their investments, and any other lawful rights and interest enjoyed by them.
