Supplement III to the Mainland and Macao Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement

With the goal of increasing the level of trade and cooperation between the Chinese mainland (footnote: in the Arrangement, the Chinese mainland refers to all land within the customs borders of the People's Republic of China) and the Macao Special Administrative Regions (hereinafter referred to as Macao), and based on:
The Mainland and Macao Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement, signed on October 17, 2003 (hereinafter the Arrangement);
The Supplementary Agreement to the , signed on October 29, 2004;
And the Second Supplementary Agreement to the , signed on October 21, 2005;
The two parties have resolved to sign this agreement regarding the further opening of mainland service trade sectors to Macao and bilateral increase in cooperation relevant to facilitation of trade investment.
I. Service Trade
1. On the basis of pledges to open service sectors as stipulated in the Arrangement, the First Supplementary Agreement to the , and the Second Supplementary Agreement to the , the mainland shall, beginning on January 1, 2007, further relax restrictions for market entry into sectors including law, construction, conference/exhibition planning, audio-visual arts, distribution, tourism, transportation, and proprietorships.
