Decision of Shanghai Municipal People's Government on Revising the Detailed Implementation Rules of Shanghai Municipality on Security Management in Hotel Industry, adopted at the No.101st executive meeting of Shanghai Municipal Government on March 28, 2011, are hereby promulgated, effective as of the promulgtion.

Decision of Shanghai Municipal People's Government on Revising the Detailed Implementation Rules of Shanghai Municipality on Security Management in Hotel Industry

The Municipal People's Government has decided to revise the Detailed Implementation Rules of Shanghai Municipality on Security Management in Hotel Industry as follows:
I. Article 2 is revised as:
All business places providing accommodation services by using special accommodation facilities mainly with day-rate as charging unit within this Municipality shall abide by the Measures on Security Management in Hotel Industry and these Detailed Rules.
II. Item 3 of Article 4 is revised as:
The overall layout of a hotel shall meet the requirements of other safety precautions. A hotel with more than 15 guest rooms, more than 50 beds or with an area of more than 500 square meters in use shall have the video monitoring system, emergency alarm device and such other safety precaution facilities installed in line with relevant standards of the State and this Municipality.
