The Decision of Shanghai Municipal People's Government on the Amendment of the Procedures of Shanghai Municipality on the Administration of Travel Agencies, which was adopted at the 96th executive meeting of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government on January 23, 2006, is released hereby and shall take effect as of April 1, 2006.

Decision of Shanghai Municipal People's Government on the Amendment of the Procedures of Shanghai Municipality on the Administration of Travel Agencies

Shanghai Municipal People's Government has hereby decided to make the following amendments to the Procedures of Shanghai Municipality on the Administration of Travel Agencies.

I. The Article 4 shall be amended to read as:
The municipal tourism administrative department shall be responsible for the administration of travel agencies in this Municipality.
District/county tourism administrative departments shall be responsible for the administration of domestic travel agencies within the areas under their jurisdiction in accordance with their respective functions and subject themselves to the professional leadership of the municipal tourism administrative department.
