MIIT Issues Reference Guidelines for the Application of Data Factors in Industrial Scenarios

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released the Reference Guidelines for the Application of Data Factors in Industrial Scenarios (the "Guidelines").

The Guidelines focus on five stages, namely, R&D and design, production and manufacturing, operation and management, customer services, and industrial collaboration, summarize the "collection, aggregation, and utilization" of data and the expected outcomes across 23 typical scenarios, and provide reference for industrial enterprises, digital transformation service providers, and industry organizations in advancing the development and utilization of industrial data. Notably, the stage of R&D and design covers data-driven product design, digital process design, digital collaborative R&D, virtual pilot testing and verification of products, and virtual simulation verification of processes, among others. The stage of production and manufacturing covers intelligent monitoring and maintenance of equipment, digital twin factory development, intelligent production scheduling and optimization, intelligent dispatch of production operations, intelligent quality inspection, quality prediction and improvement, intelligent monitoring of work safety, and large-scale customized production.
