The General Office of the State Council recently released the Work Plan for Accelerating the Cultivation of New Growth Drivers in Service Consumption (the "Work Plan").
The Work Plan rolls out supporting policies in three areas. Firstly, for key sectors such as transportation services, domestic services, online audiovisual services, sojourn tourism services, automotive aftermarket and inbound consumption, actions will be taken to improve service supply, advance pilot programs, foster innovative consumption scenarios and strengthen talent development, thereby boosting growth. Secondly, for potential sectors including performance services, sports event services, and emotion and experience-oriented services, actions will be taken to refine incentive mechanisms, enhance safety management, foster high-quality brands, and build supporting platforms, thereby cultivating new momentum. Thirdly, the Measures call for improving standards systems, enhancing credit development, and increasing fiscal and financial support, among others, thereby providing solid safeguards to cultivate new growth drivers in service consumption.
