Recently, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has issued the Accreditation Criteria for Excellent Engineers Education (the "Criteria"), which take effect on the date of issuance.
The Criteria focus on six major areas: (1) college positioning and organization, giving full play to the overall effectiveness of management systems, academic systems, practice training platforms, and resource support; (2) quality assurance and continuous improvement, actively introducing external quality assessments and industry guidance; (3) cooperation and openness, strengthening regional, college–enterprise, and international exchanges and collaboration; (4) work-integrated learning, promoting joint recruitment, joint training, joint topic selection, and shared outcomes between universities and enterprises; (5) college–enterprise faculty development, establishing and improving faculty selection criteria, admission and exit procedures, faculty training systems, and collaborative, two-way exchange mechanisms for college and enterprise mentors; and (6) engineer career development, with an emphasis on enhancing employment services and career development guidance for graduates.
