CSA Abolishes Six Self-regulatory Rules
Promulgation date: 2025-08-18 Chinese version
Recently, the China Securities Association (CSA) has issued the Announcement on the Concentrated Abolition of Six Self-regulatory Rules (the "Announcement"), under which the relevant rules shall cease to apply from the date of the Announcement.

According to the Announcement, these rules include, among others, the Circular on Special Procedures for Overseas Securities Professionals Practicing in the Tianjin, Jiangsu, Shandong, Yunnan Pilot Free Trade Zones and the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, and the Circular on Special Procedures for Overseas Securities Professionals Practicing in Shanghai Municipality, Hainan Province, Chongqing Municipality, Hangzhou City, Guangzhou City, and Shenzhen City, totaling six rules. The Announcement also provides the reasons for their abolition, mainly that the CSA has issued the Circular on Arrangements Concerning the Special Procedures for the Practice of Overseas Securities Professionals, which promotes the nationwide application of special procedures for the practice of overseas securities professionals, therefore the aforementioned circulars are abolished.
