The State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) has drafted the Administrative Measures for National Standard Implementation Monitoring Sites (Draft for Comment) (the "Draft") for public consultation by October 3, 2025.
According to the Draft, the monitoring sites are defined as entities that have the capabilities to collect and report data on standard implementation as required, and that undertake monitoring tasks with the approval of the administrative department of standardization under the State Council. The Draft specifies that monitoring sites shall collect data on standard implementation within a specified period as required by the administrative department of standardization under the State Council or by local administrative departments of standardization, ensure that data is representative, accurate, and reliable, and continuously improve the quality of data collection. The Draft also encourages local administrative departments of standardization and relevant administrative departments under the State Council to support the development of monitoring sites in key project construction, key scientific research, and talent cultivation, among other aspects.
