Recently, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) has released Announcement [2025] No. 171, specifying the abolition of certain normative documents concerning imported and exported foods. The Announcement takes effect on the date of release.
According to the Announcement, the GAC has decided, based on work needs, to abolish a total of ten normative documents related to imported and exported foods, including the Announcement on Issuing the Implementation Catalog for Registration of Overseas Producers of Imported Foods, Announcement on Updating the Implementation Catalog for Registration of Overseas Producers of Imported Foods, Announcement on Issuing the List of National Demonstration Zones for Quality and Safety of Exported Food and Agricultural Products, Announcement on Issuing the List of National Demonstration Zones for Quality and Safety of Exported Food and Agricultural Products and Facilitation Measures for Regulation of Quarantine and Inspection, Announcement on Issuing the 2014 List of National Demonstration Zones for Quality and Safety of Exported Food and Agricultural Products, among others.
