NMPA Seeks Comments on the Administrative Provisions on the Filing of Internet Drug and Medical Device Information Services

The National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has drafted the Administrative Provisions on the Filing of Internet Drug and Medical Device Information Services (Draft for Comment) (the "Draft") to solicit public opinions by August 30, 2025.

The Draft specifies that the filing of internet drug and medical device information services shall be based on websites or mobile internet applications as the basic units. In addition to complying with the Administrative Measures for Internet Information Services (Revised in 2024), the filing for internet drug and medical device information services shall also meet three conditions, including "the organizer of the website or mobile internet application shall be a legally established legal entity or other organization". The Draft requires the websites or mobile internet applications providing internet drug and medical device information services to keep displaying their filing number for internet drug and medical device information services at a prominent position on their homepage or main page. They shall not publish any product information on vaccines and other drugs subject to special national management, traditional Chinese medicine formula granules, medical institution preparations, and other drug and medical device information that the NMPA prohibits from publishing.
