MOHURD Issues Statistical Survey System for Housing Provident Fund

The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD) has released the Statistical Survey System for Housing Provident Fund (the "System"), valid until July 2030.

The System aims to understand the basic facts of housing provident fund management nationwide and provide a basis for policy formulation and supervision by the regulatory departments of housing provident fund at all levels. The survey targets and statistical scope include housing and urban-rural development departments across provinces and autonomous regions nationwide, as well as housing provident fund management bodies of the cities divided into districts and areas under the jurisdiction of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Cities divided into districts refer to municipalities directly under the central government, cities where the provincial or autonomous region governments are located, and other cities divided into districts (prefectures, autonomous prefectures, leagues). The statistical content of the System includes the operation status of housing provident fund business, organizational setup and staffing, and the assets and expense expenditures of housing provident fund management bodies, among others. The reports are divided into annual, quarterly, and monthly reports. The System also specifies that certain data from Jian Jin Form 3-4 will be jointly released by the MOHURD, the Ministry of Finance, and the People's Bank of China by the end of May each year. Other data will be used for internal management by the MOHURD.
