The National Health Commission (NHC) and the National Disease Control and Prevention Administration (NDCPA) have released the Work Plan for the Action to Expand the Declaration of Projects with Occupational Disease Hazards (2024-2025) (the "Plan"), the Work Plan for the Action to Assist Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Occupational Health (2024-2025), and the Work Plan for the Action to Raise the Quality and Compliance of Occupational Disease Prevention and Control Institutions (2024-2025).
According to the Plan, by launching the action to expand the declaration of projects with occupational disease hazards, by the end of 2024, the declaration of projects with occupational disease hazards by employers in industries with serious occupational disease hazards in the industrial field will reach full coverage; by the end of 2025, the declaration quality will be significantly improved. To this end, the Plan identifies several work tasks, such as establishing a database of employers with potential occupational disease hazards and carrying out notification and mobilization for declaration. The Plan requires provincial health administrative departments and disease control authorities to jointly conduct a survey on the progress of the said action at least once a year, focusing on whether employers in areas with serious occupational disease hazards have completed their declaration, as well as the industry category, scale, occupational disease hazard factors and other information, and improve their work measures.
