The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS) and eight other authorities have jointly issued the Action Plan for Accelerating the Cultivation of Digital Talents and Supporting the Development of Digital Economy (2024-2026) (the "Plan").
The Plan, by closely following the needs for the development of the digital industry and the digital transformation of traditional industries, calls for launching a series of special actions to cultivate, introduce, retain, and utilize digital talents in around three years, in order to increase the effective supply of digital talents and form the cluster effect of digital talents. The Plan arranges for six key projects, including digital technology engineer training project, digital skills improvement action, international exchanges for digital talents, digital talent innovation and entrepreneurship action, campaign to empower industry development with digital talents, and competitions in digital vocational and technical skills. Greater policy support will be given in six areas, namely, optimizing training policies, improving evaluation systems, improving distribution systems, raising the level of input, providing smooth channels, and strengthening incentives and guidance.
